Whether you have long hair, medium hair, should-length hair, or short hair, prefer using a flat iron, curling wand, or no heat at all, this collection of tutorials will teach you how to get those perfect DIY beach waves we all love. We've included techniques for all hair lengths, different types of looks (messy, loose, etc.), and a couple of overnight options. Looking sexy has never been easier!

Am I the only one who is crushing on that messy, sexy, incredibly glamorous beach wave look all of the celebs are sporting this summer?

I didn’t think so.

Now, I’ve already shared some great tips to help you get those sexy waves (you can read them all HERE), but since I’m more of a visual person, I’ve decided it’s time to share some of the best tutorials I found on YouTube to teach you the best techniques for getting beach waves.

Each video includes fantastic tips and tricks for different hair lengths, and, as an added bonus, I’ve also included tutorials to teach you how to get beach waves without a curling iron and hair straightener, and without heat altogether as well as the best products to get the look!

Pssst… The Moroccanoil Texture Beach Wave Mousse is my FAVORITE product when it comes to sexy beach waves. It gives fabulous texture to fine, limp hair that won’t hold a style!

1. Messy Beach Waves for Very Short Hair by stillGLAMOROUS

If you don’t believe you can get a sexy beachy wave with short hair, you’re wrong. This look is the perfect combination of messy and sophisticated and I absolutely love it!

2. Beachy Effortless Waves for Short Hair Using a Curling Iron by Nicole Guerriero

I am so in love with Nicoles’ finished look I’m thinking of cutting my hair. Seriously! The only thing that bummed me out with this tutorial is that she moved up from a 25 mm curling wand to a bigger size for looser waves. The good news? The Hot Tools 1-1/4 Curling Wand works fabulously at an affordable price!

3. No Heat Beach Waves for Short Hair by Anna Saccone

This is a good tutorial if you want to know how you can get that messy look we all know and love without fussing about with a curling iron each morning. She includes a lot of information on different hair products – PHYTO 7 Hydrating Day Cream(hydrates and protects textured hair), Redken Curvaceous Ringlet Perfecting Lotion (apply to wet hair to create perfect curls), Redken Texturizing Mousse (perfect for creating waves on second-day hair), and Batiste Dry Shampoo (removes grease and revives dirty hair).

4. Beachy, Poofy Waves for Medium-Length Hair by ThatsHeart

I was skeptical at first, particularly with all of the volume, but she really pulls this look off. It’s perfect for everyday, or for a big night out. If you want to experiment with this look, I highly recommend the Hot Tools Flipperless Curling Wand as it gets the job done at an affordable price!

5. Sexy Heatless Curls for Medium-Length Hair by flair4hair22

I don’t particularly love no-heat beach wave looks, especially the ones that involve braiding your hair before you go to bed (I just can’t seem to pull that look off), but this method of getting sexy curls without a curling iron is pretty fabulous, don’t you think?

6. Loose, Beachy, ‘Victoria’s Secret’ Curls by AlisonLovesJB

My only complaint about this tutorial is that it makes me regret cutting my waist-length hair when I was in college. Had I not done that, I would’ve rocked this look all through my 20s. Heck, I’d still be rocking it now. I love it!

7. Beautiful Curls With No Heat or Rollers for Long Hair by uwodoo

I am not a fan of the whole ‘braid-your-hair-and-sleep-on-it’ look, which is why I love this trick so much. It takes some practice to get it right, but I think it looks fantastic.

8. No Heat Loose Curls for Long Hair in 2 Minutes by Lindsey Michelle

If you have naturally wavy hair, you will be WOWED with how quick and easy this is to do, and how awesome it looks!
