The notorious skinny brows of the 90s are officially back. Gen-Z has been ultra-focused on trends of the 90s, and we’re seeing pencil thin brows popping up everywhere from Tiktok to the runways, perhaps most notably at SS24 Maison Margiela. Celebrities like Bella Hadid are going thinner and thinner with their brows, proving that the trend is here to stay. If you lived through the over-plucking era, don’t worry, today’s thin brows are sculpted, sleek, and still have some density. If you want to try out the look with makeup, apply a concealer in the same colour as your skin over your brows to lighten them and create a blank canvas. 2. Straight Brows

3. Bleached Brows
Bleached brows were everywhere on the 2024 runways, from Thom Browne to Versace, to Holzweiler, and have been seen on celebrities from Kendall Jenner to Julia Fox and Amelia Gray Hamlin over the past few years. The trend first gained popularity in the 90s, and thanks to the cyclical fashion of beauty trends, has been gaining popularity once again. 4. Au Natural
Overall, there seems to be a move toward natural brows, with a bit of enhancement. Hold it with a loose grip- as if you’re sketching, and build up the colour slowly. Go two shades darker than your natural hair colour, then go in with a brow gel to set them in shape. 6. Embellished Brows
While they may not be suitable for every day, embellished brows are a great way to make a statement at a party or festival. Crystal-studded brows made their mark on the Simone Rocha Haute Couture SS24 runway and celebs like Sydney Sweeney have donned the look as of late. You can use gemstones to embellish your brows, as well as glitter or face pearls.
7. Brow Treatments
Brow lamination and microblading techniques will continue to be popular in 2024. However, opposed to harsher lines we saw in the past, lamination techniques will lean towards softer, diffused brows. “Brow lifts” are becoming ever more popular, which combine shaping and tinting with a modern spin on lamination. The result is brows that are beautifully groomed and slightly lifted instead of artificially brushed up. Softer versions of microblading, which offer a more feathered look, are also on the rise.
