As I was searching through my mother’s cook books the other day, I found this butter cookie recipe and couldn’t resist trying it.
I have no idea who Karen is, or why she gave her recipe to my mother, and I’m almost 100% certain my mother never made them, but they were by far one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten, and I could not let a day go by without sharing the recipe with you.
What I love about butter cookies (other than how delicious and buttery and crumbly they are) is that they are ridiculously easy to make, and can be dressed up in so many different ways. I personally prefer to roll the dough out and cut them into different shapes with my favorite cookie cutters, but my cookie press makes them look pretty spectacular, too!
I hope you enjoy these as much as we did!
