I have never been one for spontaneity.
I find routines comforting, and whenever things start to fall off track, I get a little twitchy.
Okay, a lot twitchy.
So I guess it’s no surprise that I’ve been drinking the same brand of wine (Bonterra Chardonnay) for the last 2+ years, and that I know exactly how many ounces I can consume (12.5) without feeling like garbage the following morning.
But sometimes, when the sun is shining and my hormones are perfectly aligned, I feel like trying something new.
I had one of those moments at a BBQ a couple of weeks ago. The smell of burgers and dogs was permeating the air, the kids were having a fabulous time digging in the dirt, and for the first time in a very long time, I felt…relaxed.
So when someone offered me a mojito, I thought, “what the heck”, and when that first sip touched my lips, I felt like I’d died and gone to heaven.
Of course, I proceeded to have 4 mojitos, so I felt like I’d died and gone to hell the following morning, but that’s a story for another time.
Anyway, I took a look on Pinterest, and I was surprised to see how easy they are to make, and how many different variations there are out there.
And just in case we actually have a summer this year (do you think it’ll ever happen?), I thought I’d share 10 refreshing mojito recipes with you.
Just make sure you don’t drink FOUR of them in under 3 hours.
Trust me on this one…
